This results in a dark, crumbly substance that enriches soil, supports plant growth, and is a more environmentally friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers

It helps the soil retain moisture and nutrients and attracts beneficial organisms to the soil. It also reduces the need for pesticides and fertilizers. Compost is not a substitute for fertilizer if you’re trying to grow crops that have a high nutrient demand.

However, whether you want to plant your own tomatoes or strawberries in pots, or simply provide your clivia plant with essential nutrients, compost is a great enhancement to your garden.
